Mike Reinacher, wrestling coach
2010 Hall of Fame Inductee

As head coach of the Vikings wrestling program from the 1989 through 2005, Mike led the Vikings to 11 EIL Tournament Titles and six Dual Meet titles. Mike’s teams went undefeated in the EIL in back-to-back seasons during 2000–2001 and 2001–2002. In his 16 years as head coach, Mike was many times over EIL coach of the year. He also served as the EIL wrestling commissioner for many years.

Coach Reinacher brought many athletes to NEPSAC’s Annual New England Championship Tournament. Two of these wrestlers, Antwan Seymour and Jason Haley, went on to win New England championship titles.

Mike’s style of coaching was tailor-made for Landmark’s student athletes. He emphasized quality over quantity by drilling basic techniques and wrestling moves over and over again, and he made conditioning a top priority. Practices were long, tough, and extremely intense but they paid big dividends. Above all else, Mike was a master in motivating his kids. In many ways, the wrestling room was a refuge for his athletes.
