& Electives
Landmark High School students are known for their creativity and talents both within and beyond the classroom. To foster their growth, ingenuity, and curiosity, we offer a wide variety of electives. Please take a look at a sampling of courses and videos below.
Industrial Arts
The Industrial Arts Department offers students a range of hands-on opportunities to learn about auto mechanics, boat building, and woodworking—both as electives and as after-school activities. Students learn about materials, methods, tools, and safety and undertake projects in our state-of-the-art, on-campus shops
Performing Arts
The Performing Arts Department at Landmark School provides our students with the opportunity to participate in Dance, Music, Theater, and Technical Theater throughout the school year. During the school day, we offer classes in all of those areas as electives and all are also offered as after-school activities.
In a typical year, the Performing Arts Department puts on several shows, including:
- Three plays a year (including a dinner theater in the winter and a musical in the fall)
- Evening of Dance
- Chorus concerts
- Solo Night
Physical Education
At Landmark, we know that quality health and physical education motivates students to foster important habits and to take an active role in getting or staying in shape, and improving their well being. We offer a range of electives for students of all skill levels to be active, cultivate new interests, expand competencies, get healthy, and have some fun.

Technology
The Landmark High School STEAMWorks Department offers a variety of creative and challenging coursework for students of any skill level to explore and enhance their ability and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. We place great value on the development of executive function and study skills while using project-based, hands-on learning with a strong emphasis on a discovery method.

Visual Arts
The curriculum of the Landmark High School Visual Arts Department offers a strong blend of technical skills and creative analysis that fosters visual communication, stylistic growth, and expression. The Visual Arts Department is a vibrant and creative environment where students are encouraged to push themselves, take risks, and gain independence.
We also offer specialized and rigorous programming of advanced study for students who wish to pursue post-secondary art education and work with them to develop a portfolio.
