Half-Day Academic Program
The Landmark Summer half-day academic program runs from 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m Monday–Friday.
Who is Landmark's EMS Summer Program for?
Students rising into grades 2–7 with dyslexia or another diagnosed language-based learning disability (which fall under the broader category of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). Students must have average to above-average intelligence and a healthy emotional well being.
What is the academic program like?

Afternoon Programming
We have partnered with Glen Urquhart School's Adventure Stay Program for fun afternoon programming! The best part is that we provide transportation. So you can have peace of mind with the ability to drop your child off at 8:00 a.m. at Landmark EMS and pick them up at the end of the day at 4:30 p.m. at GUS. Oh—and did we mention that lunch is included!
Each week of the GUS Adventure Stay Program, children will travel to areas around the North Shore and beyond, exploring, hiking, touring, and enjoying exciting experiences.
Registration and payment for GUS afternoon programming is handled through the GUS website. Student's can register for all five weeks, or select specific weeks for afternoon fun.
Sample Daily Schedule
The EMS Summer Program is a day program that runs Monday-Friday for the weeks it is in session (no school on July 4). The Landmark portion of the program is half-day from 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., with additional optional afternoon programming in partnership with GUS.
