Banned Book Week
September 20th, 2022
Banned Book Week
September 18-24 marks the annual Banned Book Week, a celebration of the freedom to read. It draws attention to banned and challenging books and highlights persecuted individuals.
Mrs. Sylvester, the EMS librarian created these displays of banned books and asked faculty and students, "Which of the banned books have you read," in order to encourage dialogue and interest.
“[Students] are always surprised at some of the books on the banned list.”
