Landmark Cares 2023 Recap and Photos
October 4th, 2023
Landmark Cares Week was a Major Success
Thank you to all of the parents, students, alumni, families, faculty/staff, and friends for showing up in a big way to support Landmark School during Landmark Cares Week! It was wonderful to see so many members of our community come together to show how much they care about Landmark during our fall fundraising and school spirit initiative.
Saturday, September 23 - Landmark Cares Kickoff Mixer
We had more than 50 parents join us for the Kickoff Parent Mixer held at Head of School Josh Clark’s home. Guests enjoyed the chance to win exciting raffle prizes, including a special Landmark-themed mystery prize!
Sunday, September 24 - Beach Clean Up
A little rain didn’t deter us! Thank you to the families and students who came out to clean up our local Dane Street Beach! Your efforts have reported to Coastal Sweep in support of a broader conservation initiative to keep our coastline beautiful for generations to come.
Monday, September 25 - Campus Kick-Off
Both of our campuses were feeling the school spirit on Monday, with blue and gold rice crispy treats for students at EMS and an ice cream bar at the High School. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to serve!
Tuesday, September 26 - Social Media Takeover
Our social media channels were the place to “be” on Tuesday, with lots of spirited photos and posts from students, families and alums alike! Special shout out to Mrs. Howard for creating such fun and engaging content!
Wednesday, September 27 - Spirit Day
Who doesn’t love pom poms, a pep rally, and cake? Those were just some of the features of our Spirit Day last week!
Thursday, September 28 - Faculty & Staff Giveaway
Our dedicated faculty/staff care so much about our students that we wanted to show them that our community cares back! All faculty and staff were given a free Landmark Cares tote bag as a thank you for all they do.
Friday, September 29 - EMS Community Movie Night and Dinner
While the movie portion of the evening had to be canceled due to weather, we were heart warmed to see so many families enjoy pizza and community at EMS Friday evening.
Saturday, September 30 - Homecoming: 5K/1K Races and Fall Festival
The capstone event of the week was a blast! Thank you to the student volunteers who cheered on 5K participants and to all who participated in our races and festival. New this year, the 1K fun run included 30 kids between ages 3 and 12 for a race around the lower High School campus.
Special thanks to SAGE Dining Services for partnering with us on this incredible week!
Onward
Our Landmark Cares effort secured $260,000 of our Annual Fund goal of $1.25M. Thank you for getting us there. If you didn’t have the opportunity to make a gift during Cares Week, you can support the Landmark Fund at any time.
