High School Assembly Celebrates Community, Character, and Dedication

October 16th, 2024

On Friday, October 11, 2024, Landmark High School hosted an unforgettable all-school assembly that brought together high school students, faculty, staff, and even the Tot Spot daycare kids to celebrate the school’s core values of empowerment, character, and exploration. The assembly, organized by Mr. Jamieson and Mr. Fauci, was packed with fun, inspiration, and a strong sense of community spirit. A big thank you to both of them for putting together such a fantastic event!

The gym buzzed with excitement as some of Landmark’s favorite faculty members dressed in blow-up animal costumes and took on a hilarious round of human bowling, sparking cheers and laughter from the crowd. Mr. Barrett then addressed key issues on campus, and Mrs. Veling gave a special shoutout to Colin H. ’26 for his dedication to respectfully retiring American flags. Mr. Broudo, our former Head of School, talked about how Landmark is an incredibly special place because of each one of us sitting in the audience that day. Ms. Martin-Cone also recognized all the students who ran for Student Council, inviting them down for a well-deserved round of applause.

A highlight of the event was Liam D. ’25, who shared an inspiring story about working with Mr. Mansfield in Tutorial before introducing faculty members who have dedicated over 30 years to Landmark. With Tot Spot kids distributing value tokens, it was a true celebration of the Landmark community.

More assemblies like this are planned throughout the year, and we can’t wait!
