Landmark teachers bring A.C.T.I.V.E. Learning comprehension strategies to life. The strategies are Ask, Connect, Tools to Repair, Infer, Visualize, and Explain the Main Idea. They are each represented by an icon and a fictional character who specializes in the strategy.

This last week...Several erasers mysteriously vanished from Mrs. Flannery's desk!  To help crack the case, students and teachers in grades 3 and 4 enlisted the help of the brilliant "Ian the Inferrian" (aka the legendary former Head of EMS, Rob Kahn). With his guidance and their newly sharpened skills in ACTIVE learning, the students worked collaboratively, piecing together clues and unraveling the mystery. And the culprit? Oh, it was none other than the mischievous Ms. Carman! Who knew she had such a sneaky side?
