To honor Veterans Day this year, EMS middle school students learned about the the significance of the day by participating in a presentation and learning that faculty member, Mr. Dittman, served in the military before becoming a teacher. Students created letters for veterans and other people working in the military services, expressing gratitude and sharing their artwork. Students reflected on Landmark’s values (specifically character) when composing personal messages and helped to reinforce the "why" behind this activity.

The letters illustrated respect, kindness, empathy, and integrity—the words defining character, which we strive to explore and promote throughout EMS’ programming.
